Materials
DMI produces the finest support tooling and fixturing in the world using both conductive and non-conductive materials. Our quality control process ensures that all units are built to the highest possible standards.
The materials specification data listing below represents typical results obtained from production materials commonly used. Material properties may vary but each listed product meets all applicable NEMA standards. The listed data is a relative measurement to Durastone, the industry’s most widely used material.
The ‘Heat Cycles’ column is used to show the material life expectancy of a pallet when ten pallets are continuously used in the manufacturing process. The ten-pallet usage allows sufficient cool down time for maximum pallet life. Using fewer pallets in a continuous operation will offer smaller cycles, increasing actual material degradation. DMI will also use stainless steel or titanium for tight pocket applications, or masking where applications demand an inert to solder metal. DMI always offers our customers the latest in technology, while keeping costs down low. For this reason, using metal on the pallets is used sparingly to help keep costs low.
